Humberside Police have received concerns regarding drug dealing and drug use around the Barnsley Street and Buckingham Street area.

Officers continue to execute misuse of drugs act warrant and conduct patrols in areas identified as areas of concern. A male of significance involved in the supply of class A drugs was recently arrested and is currently released under investigation whilst enquires continue. There was a recent incident in which a male and female were the victims of a double stabbing in the Barnsley Street and Buckingham Street areas with the suspect quickly identified and subsequently arrested and charged with 2 x attempt murder.
We continue to work closely with Hull City Council and are looking to issue trauma kits at local businesses and community centres to provide immediate first aid opportunities for serious incidents such as Road traffic collision, assaults, falls etc.
Renew, who are a drug and alcohol outreach organisation are also working closely with us and have support services at the Balfour Community Centre, Holderness Road, HU9 2EU on a Thursday afternoon between 12pm and 3pm.

Joint patrols and patch walks have been conducted with Hull City Council and Humberside Fire & Rescue offering reassurance and target hardening and removing excess rubbish to prevent opportunities for further offences. A suspect was recently arrested and is currently released under investigation whilst enquiries continue. Officers are also working jointly with Humberside Fire and Rescue in the identified areas during the night time.
