This site is a beta, which means it's a work in progress and we'll be adding more to it over the next few weeks. Your feedback helps us make things better, so please let us know what you think.
Please note: if you submitted a road traffic incident report on this site, you'll be able to download a copy of your report once you've submitted it. That report is a collision report. You can then send that report to your insurance company or solicitor.
If you're a solicitor or an insurance agent, you can apply, on behalf of your client, for a copy of any existing collision reports the police have made or hold, or request an interview with the police officer who dealt with the road traffic collision, as long as it's been investigated.
Individuals can also apply for collision reports if they're representing themselves in civil proceedings.
Providing a police reference number is very helpful. It will be in one of these formats:
Fill in the 'Request a collision report form' below and email it to us.
Please make sure you add all the relevant details, otherwise we'll have to charge you an extra administration fee.
We’ll tell you when we can release the report and then you will be asked to pay the balance.
Initial search/administration fee: £30.40
Basic report: £123.20
Third party details: £43.80
If you want a copy of the report from the Forensic Collision Investigation Unit (FCIU) please include this on your request form, under the 'other documentation' section.
When we've confirmed we have the information, we will provide you with payment details.
If you're requesting a copy of the collision report, or limited details of a third-party, it can take up to 45 working days from the date we receive your payment.
Please note, collision accident reports can only be released once the case has been closed.
If you have any queries, please email us.
