Your Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) plays a vital role in tackling many of the local issues that matter to you. They are out in your area every day, and always available to offer crime prevention advice or for you to raise concerns with.
Each NPT consists of a dedicated Sergeant, Police Constables (PCs) and Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs), all under the command of an Inspector. While they may be the ones you see the most, the NPTs do not work alone. They are supported by staff and officers from across the whole Humberside Police force area, and they work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide the local policing priorities for the area and find useful, long-term solutions.
Our approach is shaped by four key themes: We protect vulnerable people and keep people safe; We are out in your communities, visible, listening and working with you to deliver the services you need; We successfully tackle crime and ASB; We will be there when you need us.
Anti-Social Behaviour, violence, begging and drug related offences on Holderness Road and Mount Pleasant including residential streets off.

Humber Talking has been completed in this area with local residents to understand their concerns and to identify suitable responses. This includes longer term solutions with key partners.
Additional officers have been brought into the area as part of our Operation Prowess initiative which is dedicated to providing a visible police presence on foot.
We will also be taking enforcement action such as executing warrants, issuing dispersal notices, gathering evidence to support Criminal Behaviour Orders, closure orders on nuisance addresses and delivering educational inputs to raise awareness of the consequences that anti social behaviour, violence and drugs can have on victims and the wider community.

Update - From listening to your concerns we have executed a number of warrants under The Misuse Of Drugs Act. This has resulted in a quantity of class A & B drugs recovered and taken out of circulation along with persons arrested and charged.

Cycle Theft is an issue across the ward area especially around high foot fall places.

Engagement with cyclists to give advice that D-Locks are the better locks.

A number of street drinkers have started to congregate around the benches on Sherburn Street and New Bridge Road near to the green area.
