High visibility patrols and plain clothes operations within the ward area have been conducted and future dates have been identified in order to address the ongoing issues.
Joint visits have been conducted in areas which have been identified as hotspot areas for drug use and dealing. These visits have been conducted alongside our partners this has included the local authority and housing associations. These visits have been used in order to prevent, detect and deter crime in order to reduce further offending and bring suspects through the criminal justice system. These visits are vital in order to increase our intelligence picture and confidence from members of the public, this has also been linked in with our humber talking initiative.
Within the ward we have also completed a closure notice at an address following concerns in respect of the address which had a wide impact on the local community.
Local NPT will also be conducting regular checks of all Hot Spot areas within Ashby
