Hate/Racial Abuse

There has been a number of incidents reported to Humberside Police regarding Hate/Racial offences recently. Humberside Police will take a zero tolerance policy against individuals found to be committing these offences and will be positively dealt with.

Anti-social behaviour around the entertainment zone of Kingswood Retail Park. This is mainly surrounding the restaurants around the park. A number of incidents have been reported which will be investigated and offenders dealt with positively.

A number of youths have already been visited by Humberside Police and Hull City Council regarding these issues, we will continue to work together to resolve these isolated issues.

Increase of Vehicle theft

As a response to reports of increases of theft from vehicles and of vehicles in and around the Kingswood Ward the local officer has completed and submitted a funding bid from the crime prevention fund. This id to go towards a project including canvassing residents on the area and providing crime prevention items / advice .

Funds are now in place and the initiative will begin to be rolled out in the new year.

Planning is ongoing in relation to this initiative and how it will be rolled out

Target Hardening has been ordered for this initiative. there is to be visits to residents to complete a questionnaire. This will be done by both police and partners. Currently awaiting items to arrive and a timeline to be put in place.

Action day is to be arranged. Further information once this is done

update 02/05/2026 -
Action day has been arranged for the 18th May with a week of action.

Update 15/06/2026
A week of action commenced on the 18th May, over 200 houses were visited and offered crime prevention equipment. There will be a new date organised shortly.
