Increase of Vehicle theft

As a response to reports of increases of theft from vehicles and of vehicles in and around the Kingswood Ward the local officer has completed and submitted a funding bid from the crime prevention fund. This id to go towards a project including canvassing residents on the area and providing crime prevention items / advice .

Funds are now in place and the initiative will begin to be rolled out in the new year.

Target Hardening has been ordered for this initiative. there is to be visits to residents to complete a questionnaire. This will be done by both police and partners. Currently awaiting items to arrive and a timeline to be put in place.

Action day has been arranged for the 18th May with a week of action.

A week of action commenced on the 18th May, over 200 houses were visited and offered crime prevention equipment. There will be a new date organised shortly.

There has been a further crime prevention action day where several more houses have been visited, spoken to and received crime prevention equipment. Another action day is to be planned for the next two months.
Actioned 01 August 2026
Anti-social behaviour around the entertainment zone of Kingswood Retail Park. This is mainly surrounding the restaurants around the park. A number of incidents have been reported which will be investigated and offenders dealt with positively.
A number of youths have already been visited by Humberside Police and Hull City Council regarding these issues, we will continue to work together to resolve these isolated issues.

The area has been attended several times and have reported very few issues. Plan is to allow the school holidays to conclude, ensure nothing has escalated and then discuss with supervision about closing the POP
