    Op Yellowfin - Nuisance Motorbikes

    Issued 03 August 2026

    Action taken:

We understand the impact and distress that nuisance motorbikes can cause for the community and we are committed to tackling this issue.

The local team are actively dealing with this issue through working closely with dedicated officers for Operation Yellowfin. We have other resources available to us which are proving invaluable such as having our own fleet of drones. Since having our own drone capacity, this has been utilised multiple times during our days of action within the Humberside Police area, reaping positive results. It has enabled us to locate illegal vehicles in use, obtain evidential footage and enable officers to attend swiftly to deal with offenders by means of vehicle seizure or warnings.

Following an increase in reports regarding the illegal use of e-bikes and off-road bikes within Waltham, we are keen to replicate the same positive results.

Humbertalking is often completed in the areas that are most affected by these issues and information and intelligence provided by local residents is key.

Do you know who the riders are? Do you know which addresses they are coming from and where the vehicles are stored? Do you know where they are going and who they are in company with?

If you have any of the answers to the above questions, please provide information which can be passed through the following channels:

101 or CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111 (this can be done anonymously), this in turn will allow us to tackle those individuals affecting your area.
Alternatively you can make a report via our website.

Our aim is to take action, prosecute offenders, seize vehicles and remove the danger from the community.

    Residential Burglaries

    Issued 03 August 2026

    Action taken:

There has been a rise in residential burglaries in the Waltham ward during the months of June and July.

Please ensure that you remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to police. Please also look out for one another as a community, especially those that are more vulnerable.

We need you, as a community to ensure that information is passed directly to the police rather than only shared on facebook as community groups are often not monitored.
By informing us, we can take action by conducting CCTV enquiries, house to house enquires and work to identify the person/s responsible and deal with them accordingly.

By being informed, we can create dedicated patrols to hot spot areas.
By being informed, we can attend the most vulnerable within the community to ensure that they are aware and safeguarded appropriately, submitting the necessary referrals if required.

We need you – the community of Waltham to help us, your local neighbourhood policing team to help you.

Please contact us via one of the following methods:-

    999 in an emergency.
101 or CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111 (this can be done anonymously), this in turn will allow us to tackle those individuals affecting your area.
Alternatively you can make a report via our website.

Officers from your local team are attending the homes of residents, discussing preventative methods to assist in making your home more resistant to burglary.
