Where do you work as a Special Constable?: I am based at Victoria Street Police Station, Grimsby
When did you join as a Special Constable?: I joined in October 2020
What do you do for a living outside the Special Constabulary?: In my day job I working in the potato industry, looking after growing them and then sell to the markets which is something I have been involved with for a long time.
What types of duty you typically get involved in?: I start my training back in October 2020 and went live on the streets on the 3rd of April 2021 on my first shift and since that date have loved every minute. I do one two shifts a week if possible and joined because I felt I wanted to be a part of a team that you get a life time friendship with. It is a huge family and your colleagues are always there for you whenever needed.
What advice would you give to someone who is thinking of joining?: Serving a huge community like North East Lincolnshire is a great honour, one shift is never the same which for me is something that gives you the buzz. As your colleges will always say, If you can Police Grimsby you can police anywhere.
