Your local team
Your Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) plays a vital role in tackling many of the local issues that matter to you. They are out in your area every day, and always available to offer crime prevention advice or for you to raise concerns with.
Each NPT consists of a dedicated Sergeant, Police Constables (PCs) and Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs), all under the command of an Inspector. While they may be the ones you see the most, the NPTs do not work alone. They are supported by staff and officers from across the whole Humberside Police force area, and they work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide the local policing priorities for the area and find useful, long-term solutions.
Our approach is shaped by four key themes: We protect vulnerable people and keep people safe; We are out in your communities, visible, listening and working with you to deliver the services you need; We successfully tackle crime and ASB; We will be there when you need us.

Tackling anti social behaviour in Winterton
Action taken:
The community has raised concerns regarding an increase in distressing and alarm behaviour from younger demographics within the Winterton community, not limited to causing criminal damage in public areas, harassing vulnerable people and committing offences towards retail staff and shops. We are currently engaging in targeted patrols of hotspot areas, disrupting the involved groups and robustly dealing with offences. As we reach the peak summer period, we will be increasing these patrols and working on methods of diversion to provide suitable activities for young people to engage in.

Disruption of drug dealing in the ward area
Action taken:
As an ongoing priority, the police are constantly working to gather information and develop intelligence from multiple sources to combat the network of drug dealing within North Lincolnshire and beyond; Burton-Upon-Stather and Winterton ward is no different. We urge any and all members of the community to speak up and tell us about any concerning or suspicious activity that they see. Stopping dangerous and nuisance use of motorcycles and illegal electric bikes - Operation Yellowfin
Action taken:
Our priorities in order to effectively tackle this growing issue is a threefold approach:
- Use the community's eyes and ears; We aim to foster a gold standard in reporting of information and incidents from the public, as their valuable information is key. We cannot fight this issue without confident public interaction.
- Identify the sources; Who are the riders, where are they coming from, where are they going and what are they doing?
- Take action; Prosecute offenders, seize vehicles and remove the danger from the community.
