Your Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) plays a vital role in tackling many of the local issues that matter to you. They are out in your area every day, and always available to offer crime prevention advice or for you to raise concerns with.
Each NPT consists of a dedicated Sergeant, Police Constables (PCs) and Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs), all under the command of an Inspector. While they may be the ones you see the most, the NPTs do not work alone. They are supported by staff and officers from across the whole Humberside Police force area, and they work closely with local authorities, community leaders and residents to decide the local policing priorities for the area and find useful, long-term solutions.
Our approach is shaped by four key themes: We protect vulnerable people and keep people safe; We are out in your communities, visible, listening and working with you to deliver the services you need; We successfully tackle crime and ASB; We will be there when you need us.

Youths causing Anti-social Behaviour (ASB) in Barton.
Issued 01 June 2025
The Barton Neighbourhood Policing Team are aware that youths continue to commit ASB in Barton.
Our main priority is to steer those youths away from ASB and low-level criminality, towards making more positive life choices. This is achieved through engaging with our partner agencies, working with schools and visiting parents/carers. Where these youths continue down the path of ASB/criminality, we will look to take appropriate measures.
The Barton Neighbourhood Policing Team would urge anyone who’s a victim of anti-social behaviour to report by phoning 101, or on the Humberside Police Website.
Whilst social media often draws attention to ASB in Barton, this behaviour is by a minority. The Barton Neighbourhood Team have have a good relationship with many of the local youths, and we feel residents should be aware we have nothing but praise for the overall majority of youths in Barton, both in our schools and in the community.

------------------------------------------------------------
You can report information to us in the following ways:
------------------------------------------------------------
(1). Report in person at the front desk of Barton Police Station, or by phoning 101.
(2). Report anonymously via CrimeStoppers by ringing 0800 555 111, or on their website.
(3). You can pass information directly to the Barton Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) by taking part in a short 5-minute Humber Talking survey. Please copy and paste this link into a web browser to access the survey: https://forms.office.com/e/BME3ig11BE
The survey helps us identify the key issues in the community. Even if you have previously completed the survey, local issues change so the more responses we receive, the better understanding we have of what matters to you. This will help us to know where to focus our attention. Please complete the survey yourselves, and forward to your friends, family, or any clubs, groups or organisations you may be part of.
As we are only a small Neighbourhod team, we rely heavily on the eyes and ears of the community to provide us with information to help make Barton a safer place to live.
