Nuisance motorbikes, e-bikes, e-scooter and quad bikes in the areas of Dorchester Road and Castle Hill Road.

    Issued 01 August 2026

    Action taken:

Humberside Police have received several reports of nuisance motorbikes being driven in an anti-social behaviour across Dorchester Road and Castle Hill Road which is causing nuisance and intimidating residents.

Humberside Police have recently held an OP Yellowfin Week of Action which has included the areas of Dorchester Road and Castle Hill Road. This has resulted in an increased presence of officers in these areas targeting nuisance bikes. This has included an increased presence of officers in the area, including OP Yokohama (police off road bike team) and a drone officer being deployed to the area which has resulted in several bike seizures.
These areas continue to be a hotspot for nuisance motorcycles and talks are ongoing for future yellowfin and drone days, as well as other methods to address this complex issue.

    UPDATE 02/08/26
A further OPERATION YELLOWFIN initiative day was completed on 29/07/26 across the East of the city which included DORCHESTER ROAD, ROBSON WAY and CASTLE HILL ROAD. This day included the police drone, uniformed officers, plain clothes officers and two officers on off-road bikes. Several bikes were seized across the East of the city, including one directly on DORCHESTER ROAD near to PEACEHAVEN CLOSE. In addition to this, NPT officers and PCSO’s have been gathering intelligence on motorbikes across the Sutton Ward by speaking to residents living near the hotspots, including those on HIGHFIELD (in front of the HORNSEA TRAIL) and DORCHESTER ROAD. Officers have been conducting foot patrols around CASTLE HILL ROAD, BRANSHOLME ROAD and NODDLE HILL FISHING POND – the latter of which is not in the SUTTON WARD, but it is believed to be the same bikes that are causing issues.

ASB / Youths Drinking Sutton House Road Fields

Over the period of the previous beat plan, we have received several reports of ASB/noise nuisance/youths drinking and potential drug use on the field at the back of SUTTON HOUSE ROAD near to NEASDEN PRIMARY SCHOOL (location shown in image below).

There has been at least one log for this issue every Friday since the start of the 6-week school holidays. Residents have reported the approximately 150 youths are gathering on the field, drinking, playing loud music and leaving their rubbish. Police have attended and have confirmed that this is not an exaggerated number

    Issued 01 August 2026

    Action taken:

As a result of this, so far, we have

    1. Spoken to residents in the area and listened to their concerns, ensured them we are aware of the issue and are working on a resolution.
    2. Attended the area with the local ASB officer and spoken to residents together. A patrol of the field was completed, and the ASB officer is looking into putting a bin in the area to prevent littering.
    3. Discussions took place between police and local Councillors in relation to gating off the area to prevent youths accessing the field, this was deemed not financially viable.
    4. Ensured Hull North NPT is aware of this issue and active patrols are being completed every Friday evening where applicable.
    5. Contact made with the licensing team to enquire about a ‘test purchase’ at local stores.

    Actioned 01 August 2026
