Supporting the regeneration of Grimsby Town Centre.
Issued 14 April 2026
Ensuring Grimsby Town Centre remains a safe and welcoming place for everyone is a key priority. We are focusing our efforts on tackling anti-social behaviour (ASB) and retail crime through a mix of visible patrols and behind-the-scenes enforcement.
Our ongoing work in the town centre includes:
Tackling ASB: You will see increased patrols—both in uniform and plain clothes—during peak times, including weekends and school holidays. We are working closely with Young and Safe and are pleased to support the opening of the Horizon Youth Zone to provide better opportunities for local young people.
Stronger Enforcement: We are working with Town Centre Marshalls to enforce the Public Space Protection Order (PSPO). This includes trialling new dispersal powers to address persistent nuisance behaviour and using Criminal Behaviour Orders (CBOs) to manage repeat offenders.
A Safer Night-Time Economy: Our team continues to support the Safer Street Ambassadors and licensing partners to ensure people feel safe when visiting the town centre in the evening, with a specific focus on tackling Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG).
Retail Support: Combatting shop theft remains a daily priority for our officers as we work to support local businesses and staff. We are committed to monitoring these issues daily to ensure our resources are where they are needed most.
How you can support us:
Please report any incidents via 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. If you see our officers or any of our partners out on patrol, please feel free to stop us for a chat.

Reduction of violent crime and anti-social behaviour linked to drug supply.
Issued 14 April 2026
Tackling drug-related activity and the violent crime it fuels is a top priority for the West Marsh. We know the impact this has on your homes and businesses, and we are committed to making our streets safer and more comfortable for everyone.
We are taking direct action to disrupt this activity at its core:
Proactive Enforcement: You will see an increase in both high-visibility patrols and plain-clothes deployments. We are also running scheduled Days of Action to target specific areas and individuals causing the most harm.
Stronger Partnerships: We are working closely with housing agencies to tackle anti-social behaviour linked to drug use, ensuring that those who blight our community face clear consequences.
Community Protection: We are hosting regular engagement events where we provide free target hardening equipment to help you better secure your property and feel safer in your home.
Your information is the foundation of our work. Every report helps us build the case for warrants and allows us to respond effectively.
How you can support us:
Please report drug-related activity or suspicious behaviour via 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. If you see us at an engagement event, please stop by to pick up security equipment and have a chat.
