Targeting of priority ASB offenders.
Issued 18 October 2026
From our high visibility patrols and information shared from the public, we have identified numerous youths involved in ASB associated problems on the South Ward.
Our main priority is to steer those youths away from criminality onto positive life choices. This is achieved through engaging with our partner agencies, working with schools and visiting parents/carers where appropriate.
Where these youths continue down the path of criminality, we will look to take appropriate measures.

Retail Crime - ASB and Shop Theft in key retail locations across the South Ward
Issued 18 October 2026
We have visited the key retail locations affected by ASB and shop theft alongside our Crime Reduction Officer to identify hotspots and key offenders. We have offered tailored advice to these shops around crime reduction and prevention. Top offenders for crime have been issued with Criminal Behaviour Orders (CBO's) and we will continue to push for these to ensure tougher sentences in efforts to reduce the harm they put upon our communities.
The local Policing will continue to provide a high visibility presence, offering regular drop ins and reassurance at these key locations. Anti-social behaviour will be dealt with appropriately, juveniles to be issued with Acceptable Behaviour Contracts and where appropriate, referred to the Youth Justice Service for intervention. We will deliver targeted days of action in uniform and plain clothes as part of a wider operation to arrest and deter offenders.
