Howden Shire Hall, 13 Market Place Goole
Anti-social behaviour around Howden.
Issued 19 March 2026
Officers from the Neighbourhood Team are aware of a marked increase in anti-social behaviour with some new arrivals in the area.
Officers will be working with partner agencies and local Schools to identify those involved and be taking positive action to reduce the ASB in this area. Howden Town Centre now benefits from a brand new CCTV system which will enable swift identification of offenders and hopefully deter any potential offenders. This was implemented by Howden Town Council, with the police having access to the system for review when required.
This continues to be a Priority and Officers are carrying out targeted sessions in local schools around this issue and dealing positively with named individuals.

Road Safety
Issued 19 March 2026
Road safety continues to be a reoccurring issue within the ward area. Howden has recently implemented a community speed watch programme which will hopefully empower the local community to be involved in improving road safety in their area. Additionally there has been several reductions in speed limits on the road networks in and around Howden in an aim to improve road safety and reduce the potential for collisions. There are further reductions proposed which are being looked into with the local council.
Road Safety continues to be a Priority across all wards consistently. All NPT Staff have had training or refresh training for the Pro Laser for speed enforcement and regular targeted school patrols within Ward areas to give Words of Advice regards possible traffic offences and road safety issues.
