As with most other areas, road safety is something in which we can improve upon in our rural communities. Road safety includes speeding, parking obstructions and safety matters. There is also the potential for an increase reports of nuisance motorbikes due to school holidays and the warmer weather.
ACTION: We hold regular proactive road safety campaigns which include speed enforcement in hot spot locations and supporting the ERYC School Streets Scheme.
Our Special Constable and Neighbourhood Team will be out and about in the community with the prolaser, as well as working alongside our Op Yellowfin Team to tackle issues with off-road motorbikes. There will likely be a an increase in the use of off-road bikes in the summer months due to the children being off school, better weather and lighter nights. Op Yellowfin will be made aware of any reports.

Shop Theft in Hedon
Action taken:
As with a lot of other areas within East Riding, shop theft is something that affects the local community, businesses, and individuals.
ACTION: To show a regular high visibility presence in the most affected areas, and continue to engage with the shops.
Our area has seen a jump in shop thefts compared to the previous 2 months, so we will continue to provide high visibility patrol in the area of the affected shops, and continue to engage with staff and management.
