Abnormal loads are not allowed to travel in the Humberside area:
This excludes abnormal loads up to 3.65 metres in width that do not cross the Hull city corridor, situated between Somerdon Road A1033, and the A63 Humber Bridge/North Ferriby exit, both east and west bound.
A dispensation is a permission for an abnormal load to travel without having to notify us each time.
Please use our dispensation form to apply for a dispensation.
We will provide a police escort when we think we need to because of the size of the load or other unusual circumstances. This usually means loads that need a VR1 form (PDF, 48KB) or a Vehicle Special Order.
If you need a police escort you must give us 14 days’ notice and we will charge for this service.
Click 'Start' to use our contact form to request a police escort.
