NORTH EAST LINCOLNSHIRE
Yesterday morning (Monday, 16 June) saw the return of our Community Better Together event at Centre4 in Grimsby.

Inspector Pete Musgrave said “Events like this are organised to give members of the public the opportunity to meet their local policing team, ask questions and find out our priorities for their area. As well as raise any concerns they have.
“As a part of the event, myself and Inspector Claire Jacobs provided an update on our priorities for the year, including key operations such as OP Yellowfin and newly launched Op Mandala, both of which have been developed in direct response to concerns raised within the community to tackle these issues. We always want to hear from you and work with our community directly.
“It’s not only important that the public hear directly from us, but what else is being done in the area alongside our teams. Sergeant Nick Bunker from our Community Safety Unit updated on previous concerns raised in the last meeting and how Humberside Police have actioned these since, alongside My Community Alert.
"My Community Alert is a free messaging system operated by Humberside Police, Humberside Fire & Rescue Service, and Humberside Officer of the Police and Crime Commissioner, giving you live information about incidents happening in our area.
Following on from this, there was a presentation from Justin Robert and Carl Palmer (Positive Action Officer Constables) around inclusivity within Humberside Police. Their role is to provide positive action within the force and the results of this mean we are listed as the 20th most inclusive company nationally. We were also joined by local community groups such as St Andrews Hospice and Welcome House, who we work closely with in the community. This gave the opportunity for locals to chat to these organisations and find out about the work they do in the community”
“Also in attendance was Humberside Fire & Rescue as we continue to work closely with the team to tackle certain incidents”.
