Request:

Please could you provide the following information relating to your police force area for the most recent 12-month period for which data is available.

1. Motorcycle/Moped Theft:

The total number of recorded offences involving the theft (or unauthorised taking) of motorcycles, motorbikes and mopeds. 

2. Suspect Age:
   Where a suspect has been identified in offences relating to the theft (or unauthorised taking) of motorcycles, motorbikes and mopeds, please provide the number of identified suspects broken down by age, or by age bands if exact ages cannot be disclosed.
   
   
3. Moped-Enabled Crime:
   The total number of recorded moped-enabled thefts (or offences flagged as moped-enabled) during the same period.

Humberside Police can confirm we do hold the information you requested.

1. A crime search was completed on Theft or unauthorised taking of a motor vehicle by searching in the initial MO for “Motor bike”, “Motorbike”, “Motor cycle”, “Motorcycle” and “Moped”. Then a further read of the MO ensured the context was regarding the Motorbike/Moped was the vehicle which was stolen. This also includes instances when the victim recovered the Motorbike/Moped after it was originally stolen.

3. A crime search was completed on all Theft, Burglary and Robbery by searching in the initial MO for “Motor bike”, “Motorbike”, “Motor cycle”, “Motorcycle” and “Moped”. Then a further read of the MO ensured the context was regarding the Motorbike/Moped was used during the crime.
