Man has hands cut during attempted robbery

We are looking for a suspect in connection with an attempted robbery on Spring Bank West in Hull in the early hours of Sunday 14 April. 

The victim was walking near to the junction of Hymers Avenue around 5am when has was approached by a man who demanded money from him. 

When the victim said he didn’t have any, the suspect allegedly assaulted him with what’s been described as a blade. 

The man sustained minor cuts to both hands and was also punched in the chin by the suspect and needed to go to hospital for treatment. 

We want to find this suspect. He’s been described as white, late 30s to early 40s, slim, and around 5 feet 7 tall.

He looked dirty, had long black scruffy hair, a full beard and a distinctive large scar on his right cheek underneath his eye.
