East Riding of Yorkshire

21 Jan 2019

We are appealing for witnesses to a road traffic collision (RTC) that happened at 6.20am today on the A614 at Holme-on-Spalding-Moor.

A 22 year-old man that was driving a black Ford Fiesta died from his injuries at the scene this morning as his car collided with a yellow tractor and left the road.  His family have been informed and are being supported by officers.

If you saw the incident or saw the Ford Fiesta travelling north on the A614 or the yellow tractor travelling south on the A614 prior to the collision we would like to hear from you.  Please call our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 57 21/01/2019.

The road was closed today to allow for collision investigators to work and to make necessary repairs to the carriageway.  The road remains closed at this time but is likely to re-open later this afternoon.  Drivers are advised to avoid the area as travel will continue to be disrupted.

We initially stated that the Ford Fiesta was grey but have been advised it is black.
