Our 999 and 101 call centres deal with almost half a million calls a year. HR Officers - Positive Action (two posts)

POSITIVE ACTION

We are in the middle of a major drive to recruit Police Officers, Special Constables, PSCO’s and Police Staff. 

To make sure we get the very best people who reflect the community we serve we need two HR Officers who will help specifically with Positive Action.

The role of the HR Officers will be:

To identify and assist applicants or police employees from minority groups and support them to access facilities for training.  This will assist their prospect of selection and/or development.

To encourage people from minority groups to take advantage of employment opportunities and career development.

To assist in promoting and managing diversity within the police.

To promote confidence of these groups and liaise with agencies, community groups and individuals.

The successful candidate will have a broad understanding of a range of HR matters, being able to work on their own initiative and possessing an excellent attention to detail.

They will possess good communication skills in order to liaise with internal and external staff and agencies and have flexibility to attend events outside of office core hours in the instance of community events as part of the remit of this role and the ability to travel within the Force boundary and occasionally out of Force area.

It is essential that applicants hold a clean driving license.
