The Mini Police project is a fun and interactive engagement programme for 9- to 11-year-old children, which is delivered in schools with the support of Police Community Support Officer (PCSOs) from the local neighbourhood policing team.

The scheme normally runs over 9 weeks in which 10 pupils are chosen by the school to take part:
Week 1: The attestation, in which the Mini Police receive their uniform (a baseball cap, lanyard, a tabard with the mini police logo and Humberside Police crest) and recite the police promise.
Week 2-8: The Mini Police Lessons.
Week 9: Presentation / assembly.
