As Assistant Chief Constable for Crime and Criminal Justice, Andy Walker has responsibility for Major Crime investigation, Force Intelligence functions and Counter Terrorism. He also has responsibility for Criminal Justice and Custody, Protecting Vulnerable People (PVP) and is the Force Lead for Violence against Women and Girls (VAWG).
ACC Andy Walker leads all aspects of criminal investigation within Specialist Crime, including the force’s drive to improve standards of investigations. He also leads the delivery of all aspects of the policing within the criminal justice system with a focus on reducing reoffending, improving rehabilitation and delivering restorative justice.
ACC Andy Walker is an accredited Specialist Strategic Firearms Commander and is a Gold Public Order Commander.
