Just before 1am this morning (Wednesday February 3, 2016) a 999 call was made to the police reporting three men who had allegedly forced entry into the Boots Chemist in Market Place, Hedon.
Further calls came in from members of the public reporting the men had left the chemist and had driven down a one-way system the wrong way in Hedon.
Roads policing, the police helicopter and patrol officers all responded to the incident and a 10 minute pursuit followed, behind the get-away vehicle, taking the officers across East Hull and into Cottingham.
By 1.12am three men abandoned the car, but were stopped and successfully arrested in connection with burglary and dangerous driving offences a few minutes later on Tilbury Road, Hull.
A 17-year-old Hull man was arrested in connection with burglary, a 26-year-old Hull man was arrested in connection with dangerous driving, theft of a motor vehicle, fail to stop, two burglaries, driving whilst unfit, no insurance and driving otherwise in accordance. The third man, a 35-year-old Hull man was arrested in connection with burglary, fail to stop for police and dangerous driving.
All three men remain in police custody.
