21 Apr 2015

Two strikingly similar burglaries occurred over Sunday and Monday night.

The first happened on Lynwood Avenue, Anlaby (log 172 of 19 April).  Between midnight and 4am on Sunday April 19 the house on Lynwood Avenue was burgled and thieves stole an imitation Mulberry handbag and contents, a gents blue Trek hybrid mountain bike. They also took the car keys and stole a grey Audi A3 TDI from the drive.

The second incident happened on Hymers Avenue, Hull. (Crime Reference 2109052) when between 6pm on Sunday April 19 and 6am on Monday April 20 intruders stole a silver Lenovo laptop, a white Acer laptop, a pink Dell laptop, an imitation Mulberry handbag and contents. Again they took car keys and stole a grey Audi A3 from outside the house.

In both burglaries it is believed the suspects entered the addresses through an unlocked back door. Currently neither car has been recovered.
