Grimsby: Did you see who was responsible?

One of our vehicles was damaged on Grimsby’s Nunsthorpe estate whilst we were investigating a report of a missing person.

Thankfully, the missing man was located safe and well. However, when we returned to car - which had been parked in Winthorpe Road - at around 4.30pm on Tuesday, February 7, we discovered bricks had been thrown at it and the petrol cap had been damaged.

Grimsby: Did you see anything suspicious?

Did you see anyone acting suspiciously in Stanage Walk, Grimsby, on Friday, January 13?

We were called to the area by the fire service at around 10.55pm, after a wheelie bin was set alight and pushed against the front door of a ground floor flat.

The occupant, a 67-year-old man, was taken to Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital where he was treated for smoke inhalation.

Grimsby: Did you see anyone near VW Golf?

Officers investigating a suspected arson attack on a car parked on Grimsby’s Nunsthorpe estate are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

The incident happened at around 3am on Sunday, August 7, when neighbours spotted a fire in the engine of a blue Volkswagen Golf parked outside an address in Milton Road.

Grimsby: Simon Elmstrom jailed for 38 months

Buddi Tag data has helped the force to secure a 38 week jail term for a Grimsby thief.
Simon Elmstrom, 34, of Freeman Street, admitted two counts of theft of a motor vehicle, one of stealing number plates and three of making off without payment for fuel, when he appeared before Grimsby Magistrates Court on August 4.

Grimsby: Independent witnesses sought

Independent witnesses are being sought after a man reported having his wallet stolen as he waited for a bus close to Nuns Corner, Grimsby.

The incident is said to have happened yesterday (Monday, June 13) at shortly before 3pm at the bus stop opposite the Grimsby Institute.

Any member of the community can go along and talk to local officers and PCSO's, council workers and people from Fire and Rescue about issues you face. What you say at these meetings will help the policing teams decide how they should focus their resources in your area. If you think we're getting it right or wrong at the moment, come along and have your say.

ASB around the estate - youths causing annoyance with vehicles.

*   Local NPT have been very proactive with this issue that has been causing annoyance to the local community and as per the feeds on Twitter, it can be seen that numerous vehicles have been seized for having no insurance an other motoring offences.

*   Local youths have also been reported for offences involved in using motorbikes in an anti-social way.

We will continue to pro-actively pursue this problem and your help and assistance is needed to keep reducing the problems on the South Ward.
