Serious collision on A63

Hull: A man remains in hospital following collision

At 5am yesterday (Sunday 11 February) a red Toyota Celica was travelling east on the A63 towards Hull.  As the vehicle passed under the Humber Bridge it left the road and came to rest on the adjacent railway line.

A 20 year-old man suffered serious injuries in the collision and remains in Hull Royal Infirmary for treatment. His passenger, a 19 year-old man suffered minor injuries.

The A63 eastbound was closed to allow for recovery and for collision investigations until 3pm and the railway line was closed throughout the day.
