Key Information

There are plenty of opportunities for you to meet your local officers and talk to them about problems you're worried about. You can pop along to Police Surgeries, which are informal drop-in sessions at well visited places in the community. It's a chance to meet your local officers, tell them about crime and antisocial behaviour in your area and get crime prevention advice.

You can also have a say in what your local police and other agencies focus on in your area at Priority Setting Meetings. Any member of the community can go along and talk to local officers and PCSO's, council workers and people from Fire and Rescue about issues you face. What you say at these meetings will help the policing teams decide how they should focus their resources in your area. If you think we're getting it right or wrong at the moment, come along and have your say.

High Viz Foot Patrols -    PCSO’s are required to undertake foot patrols in the areas of recent crime. If you see them ask about crime  prevention or pass on intelligence.

Poaching:   We are regularly patrolling in the Holderness area to prevent / deter hare coursing.   Working  with Farm watch we will gather evidence and information seeking prosecutions when possible.

Monthly Agency meeting. Each month we meet with our partners from the ASB team, ERYC Housing, Schools, Humberside fire and Rescue and discuss those who are identified as vulnerable and repeat victims of crime. Together we support and protect them.

Holderness has an Independent Advisory Group which meets quarterly. The CAG group discuss issues that may have an impact on how we police. For example the use of body worn videos, spit guards and use of force are a few topics. We are looking for panel members that represent those groups who feel that their voice is not heard in how we police. If interested please contact PC 656 Matt Ainley.
