Withernsea: Have you seen missing teenager?

We are today appealing for missing teenager Brogan Whiteley to contact us to let us know he’s okay.

Brogan, 15, was last seen in the Queens Street area of Withernsea at around 12.40pm on Tuesday, April 4.

Coastal flooding

We would like to thank everyone for their cooperation in what has been a challenging 48 hours dealing with the potential for flooding in our coastal areas and those bordering the Humber estuary.

Water did enter a small number of properties in Hornsea and roads were closed in South Ferriby (A1077) Withernsea and Cleethorpes seafront.

Hedon: He is due to appear at Hull Magistrates Court

31-year-old man Lee Johnthan Cheney of Gleneagles Park, Hull was charged with two counts of burglary and a theft.

He has been remanded to appear at Hull Magistrates Court on Tuesday 13 December.

The burglaries were both in Hedon on Saturday 10 December and the theft was of power tools in Hull on Saturday 18 June.

Hornsea: Do you have information about the whereabouts of the stolen items? If so call 101

Detectives are appealing for information after East Coast Vapes on Willows Drive, Hornsea was targeted by burglars between 4pm on Saturday 12 November and 7.40am on Monday 14 November.

The offender(s) forced open the front door to the shop for stealing a large quantity of vape liquids (similar to the attached) and a number of e-cigarettes.

Hornsea: Community policing team tacking action against nuisance riders

Police in Hornsea have received 47 complaints about anti-social behaviour and noise linked to people using off-road motorbikes in the fields off Hornsea Burton Road, Hornsea since April especially on a weekend.

Hornsea: Lots of events and activities for the local community to come and see

Emergency Services are coming together in Hornsea to hold a funday between 11am and 5pm on Sunday 28 August close to Hornsea Police station on South Promenade.

The event itself will be raising money for Hornsea Inshore Rescue – the town’s independent lifeboat.

You can pop along to Police Surgeries, which are informal drop-in sessions at well visited places in the community. It's a chance to meet your local officers, tell them about crime and antisocial behaviour in your area and get crime prevention advice.

You can also have a say in what your local police and other agencies focus on in your area at Priority Setting Meetings. Any member of the community can go along and talk to local officers and PCSO's, council workers and people from Fire and Rescue about issues you face. What you say at these meetings will help the policing teams decide how they should focus their resources in your area. If you think we're getting it right or wrong at the moment, come along and have your say.

Although reduction in vehicle crime in February, throughout March, staff from the Holderness Community Police Team will continue with high visibility reassurance patrols to deter theft from vehicles. Crime prevention packs will be given out to drivers
