Key Information

There are plenty of opportunities for you to meet your local officers and talk to them about problems you're worried about. You can pop along to Police Surgeries, which are informal drop-in sessions at well visited places in the community. It's a chance to meet your local officers, tell them about crime and antisocial behaviour in your area and get crime prevention advice.

You can also have a say in what your local police and other agencies focus on in your area at Priority Setting Meetings. Any member of the community can go along and talk to local officers and PCSO's, council workers and people from Fire and Rescue about issues you face. What you say at these meetings will help the policing teams decide how they should focus their resources in your area. If you think we're getting it right or wrong at the moment, come along and have your say.

112 Dec 2018There were 20 reports of vehicle crime last month in the Hessle Ward, including theft from and theft of, one of which involving suspect/s approach victim's car which is parked in tenfoot at the rear of address and steal front and rear number plates causing damage to paintwork. Throughout December 2018 staff from our Hessle Community Police Team will continue with high visibility patrols to deter offences of vehcle crime across the Ward. Any intelligence re these issues can be submitted by calling Crime Stoppers 0800 555 111 or Humberside Police on 101.
212 Dec 2018SOPv Meetings Just to keep communities/councillors in the loop with regard to ongoing works with our partner agencies and our Multi Agency Approach we hold monthly meetings (SOPV) with the likes of ASB Teams, Housing Officers, Fire Service, Youth Offending Team where we discuss local issues, problem individuals, vulnerable and repeat victims and problem locations with a view to finding solutions to these issues. These are closed meetings to which the public/councillors are not invited but we think it will be useful to let you know how we try to deal with local neighbourhood issues.
312 Dec 2018Importance of Reporting incidents/crimes Just a reminder that it is really important you report any crimes or suspicious incidents to us. This can be either via 999 or the 101 phone number, via our web site, or personally at a police station or to an officer in the street. Only by reporting the crime/incident can we be aware of it. Once we are aware we may not be able to do anything about it immediately but the report will form part of a wider picture which helps inform where we direct officers to patrol and focus activity. So please ….. take the time to report a crime/incident in the knowledge your time is not wasted. https://www.humberside.police.uk/
