South bank: Northern Lincolnshire teams are taking to Twitter

You’ve already joined us out #OnTheBeat in the East Riding – and now we’re offering you the chance to spend some time with our neighbourhood teams on the south bank.

This week teams from Grimsby, Scunthorpe and rural North Lincolnshire will be taking to Twitter to give live updates about their shifts as they head out across the area to serve our communities.

Scunthorpe: Warning to drivers parking illegally near schools

Our teams will once again be working closely with schools to take action against people who risk the lives of children by parking illegally.

Parking restrictions are in place outside our schools for good reason, allowing children coming to and leaving school to cross the road more safely. It’s not something trivial that can be ignored to save a couple of minutes’ walk.

Scunthorpe: Man is now in custody

Kyle Hale-Andrews, 22, of Scunthorpe is now helping us with our enquiries.

Thanks to everyone who shared our appeal or got in touch with information. We really do appreciate it.

Key Information

There are plenty of opportunities for you to meet your local officers and talk to them about problems you're worried about. You can pop along to Police Surgeries, which are informal drop-in sessions at well visited places in the community. It's a chance to meet your local officers, tell them about crime and antisocial behaviour in your area and get crime prevention advice.

You can also have a say in what your local police and other agencies focus on in your area at Priority Setting Meetings. Any member of the community can go along and talk to local officers and PCSO's, council workers and people from Fire and Rescue about issues you face. What you say at these meetings will help the policing teams decide how they should focus their resources in your area. If you think we're getting it right or wrong at the moment, come along and have your say.
