Scunthorpe: Two arrested in connection with incident

Vulnerable residents in North Lincolnshire are being urged to be on their guard following reports of cold callers operating in the area.

One man in the Ashby area reported being approached by a group of four men, who offered to clean his guttering and fascias for £120.

Isle of Axholme: Police seek information after 24 burglaries since August

Humberside Police are appealing for information after 24 reported burglaries/ attempted burglaries from homes in the Isle of Axholme area of North Lincolnshire since Monday 1 August.

Latter offences have occurred in the Garthorpe and Epworth areas, however a number of villages have been targeted.

Scunthorpe: Post Mortem examination due to be conducted today

Underwater search teams searching the River Trent yesterday have recovered the body of a man.

The search was conducted as part of an ongoing investigation into missing Burringham man Neil Fairburn, 50, who was last seen at around 2am on Sunday, August 14.

The white Volkswagen Golf – which has been modified to look like a top of the range Golf R – was stolen between 3am and 4am on Sunday, August 14.

Thieves are said to have broken into a property in Fieldside, Epworth and taken the car keys, before driving away in the vehicle.

Epworth: Did you witness the incident?

A woman is being treated for potentially life threatening injuries following a collision outside an Epworth school.

The incident happened outside the South Axholme Academy, Burnham Road, between 3.10pm and 3.20pm on Saturday, August 6.

The 52-year-old pedestrian was in collision with a blue Toyota Dyna, which also collided with a white Kia C’eed and a lamp post.

What is MARAC and why is it so important?

If a person poses a serious risk to a partner or to others in our community, the police and our partners will implement a plan to ensure the public is protected and victims supported.
A week into the domestic abuse campaign, we offer an insight into the efforts Humberside Police and our partners make to keep our communities safe.

Key Information

There are plenty of opportunities for you to meet your local officers and talk to them about problems you're worried about. You can pop along to Police Surgeries, which are informal drop-in sessions at well visited places in the community. It's a chance to meet your local officers, tell them about crime and antisocial behaviour in your area and get crime prevention advice.

You can also have a say in what your local police and other agencies focus on in your area at Priority Setting Meetings. Any member of the community can go along and talk to local officers and PCSO's, council workers and people from Fire and Rescue about issues you face. What you say at these meetings will help the policing teams decide how they should focus their resources in your area. If you think we're getting it right or wrong at the moment, come along and have your say.

Market Place, Crowle = Youths Causing Annoyance.  Regular Patrols have been conducted in the area.  Visits have been made to the Local Youth Club and staff have been advised to monitor attendees at the club and give advice regarding their behaviour.

Vicars Walk/Church Street, Crowle = Parking Issues and Youths playing football in the Church Yard.  Both issues are a re-occuriing problem during the summer months.  This is a new priority and these issues will be addressed in the next few months.

Off Road Bikes = Keadby.  There has been several incidents of off road bikes in this area being ridden causing annoyance and harassment to local residents.  This is a new priority and regular patrols will be conducted in the area by the Local Community Team.


Speeding Vehicles, High Street, Luddington = This has been raised by the general public at the Lateste Neighbourhood Action Team Meeting about the conduct of certain drivers in this location.  This will be looked at by Safer Neighbourhoods and the Local Community Team.
