Hull: Police made aware of incident

We have been made aware of a video being circulated showing a girl putting a cat into a wheelie bin.

Following the video being shown in the local media, the mother of a 12 year-old girl has come into a police station with her daughter to say that she is the girl in the video footage.

Pollington near Goole: Appeal for witnesses

At 2.30pm on Sunday 27 August a blue Suzuki car left the road and collided with a tree on Balne Moor Road near Pollington.

Hull: Witness appeal

A 79 year-old man sadly died of his injuries following a collision on Ferensway on Sunday evening.

A taxi collided with the man at 5.45pm on Sunday 27 August in the city centre.  He died of his injuries in hospital on Monday 28 August.

Officers hope to raise £2,500 for the Stroke Association

Hull: Appeal following robbery

We are investigating a robbery reported to us yesterday which happened on Spring Bank in Hull at around 4pm close to a local tyre and exhaust outlet


The incident was reported to us a short time after a 13 year old boy had a brand new GT fluorescent yellow mountain cycle stolen.

North Ferriby: Did you see men in black pick-up vehicle?

We are appealing for information following a burglary at the Co-Op supermarket in High Street, North Ferriby in the early hours of today, Thursday 24 August.


A black pick- up truck type vehicle approached the premises around 2am today where five men in dark clothing were seen to get out of the vehicle and one of the occupants forced entry to the store.

Grimsby: Preventing disorder and criminality linked to football

Two men have been handed three year football banning orders for their role in the violent disorder that followed Grimsby Town’s away fixture at Chesterfield on 5 August.

Wesley Craig Hargreaves of Taylor Street, Cleethorpes was fined £692 and Daniel Watt of Carr Lane, Grimsby was fined £653 – both were issued with three-year civil banning orders.

Brigg: Appeal for witnesses and to recover stolen jackets which could be used to commit crime.

The BT exchange on Scawby Road in Brigg was subject of a burglary between 5.30 on 21 and 7.30am on 22 August.

Intruders climbed over the perimeter fence and forced the locks on two vehicles parked securely in the yard.

Four Hi-Viz jackets (as pictured) were stolen.
