Officers are investigating three fires in the Bransholme area of Hull which we think may be connected.

They were started on 3 Oct at derelict shops at Roebank arcade, a derelict building on Soffham Close, and in a wheelie bin on Stockleigh Close.

No-one was hurt in the blazes but damage was caused to the buildings particularly to the shops at Roebank arcade.

A cyclist has been injured after allegedly being hit by a car which failed to stop in Bridlington. 

The incident happened on 5 October 2018 on Brett Street around 10.30pm. The man on the bike had stopped at traffic lights near Quay Road when a small blue car collided with him from behind causing him to fall off. 

The rider sustained bruising but was otherwise unhurt.

Did you witness the robbery of an 18 year-old man on Pasture Street, Grimsby on Saturday 6 October 2018?

The 18 year-old man was walking along Pasture Street at approximately 2.15am on Saturday morning when he was approached by three men.  They threatened him, pushed him against a wall and stole his IPhone 6.  After the incident the three men went in the direction of Asda.

Approximately 55 sq meters (600 sq feet) of lead was stolen from the roof of Sledmere church in the East Riding of Yorkshire between 4pm on Monday 1 and Tuesday 2 October.

The padlock and chain on the gate was removed and thieves entered the church yard and removed the lead from the church roof.

A woman has allegedly been assaulted and robbed by two men while she was having an epileptic fit in Hull.

The incident happened on Linnaeus Street just after 6pm on 3 October 2018.

It was reported that the victim collapsed near to the Kingfisher pub while having a fit. The suspects then allegedly assaulted her and stole her phone.

Four teenagers reported that four men sexually assaulted them outside a shop on Priory Road in Hull on Monday 1 October at around 7.45pm.  The teeangers were sitting on a bench when they were approached by four men who are alleged to have assaulted the girls.  The men are reported to have filmed part of the incident on a mobile phone.

A man is in hospital with life-threatening injuries following an incident last night (Friday, 5 October) in a field just off Risby Road close to the village of Appleby.

At around 11.45pm, a red and grey Subaru Forester 4x4 is believed to have been travelling across a field adjacent to Risby Road, when it and overturned and landed on its roof.

A significant amount of illegal steroids has been seized from a premises on Strickland Street in Hull today along with thousands of pounds in cash. 

Our proactive team executed a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act at the property and seized the class C drugs and around £2,500.

Stolen property has been returned to the delighted owner, following a burglary in Hull last week.

Detective Constable Graham Collins said: “A man has also been charged with burglary in connection with the incident, which happened overnight on September 29, in Marlborough Avenue.

A Goole woman has been charged with an arson attack on a café in Boothferry Road, Goole, on Monday.

DC Christopher Stapleton, who led the investigation, said: “Tracey Woodward, 42, of Morley Street, Goole, is also charged with harassment of two people at the premises between August 1 and October 2.

“She was remanded in custody to appear before Hull Crown Court on November 2.”

Hull Fair, organised by the Hull City Council, will take place on Walton Street between Friday 5 October and Saturday 13 October. Thousands of people are expected to visit the fair on a daily basis with the biggest numbers expected on the weekends and evenings.
