Pocklington: The Balk currently closed while officers deal with RTC

We are currently in attendance on The Balk in Pocklington.  A pedestrian has been struck by a van.

The condition of the casualty is not known at this stage.  The road will remain closed while emergency services carry out their duties.

Hull: A Trek Domane SLR has been recovered by police during their investigations.

We want to trace the owner of a Trek Domane SLR which has been recovered by officers.  We have made the appropriate serial number checks but still have not managed to find the owner.

Appeal for firearms, knives and offensive weapons to be handed in

Police forces are appealing for people to hand in unwanted guns with a national two week surrender of firearms and ammunition, starting on 13 November 2017. Locally, Humberside Police will also accept knives and other offensive weapons at any local police station.

Grimsby: Appeal for information

We are appealing for information following an incident of suspected arson in Grimsby. 

We were called to a property on Webster Way around 11.00am on 5 November 2017.

An outdoor storage area containing electric and gas boxes had been set alight sometime overnight between 8.00pm on 4 November and 10.45am on 5 November.

Bridlington: Suspected attempted burglary and criminal damage

We want to trace three youths in connection with an attempted burglary and criminal damage in Bridlington.

The incident occurred on Rectory Walk around 11.45pm on 1 November 2017. 

The youths had attempted to gain access through a window of a ground floor flat belonging to a woman in her 70s.

Beverley: An investigation has begun as jewellers suffers burglary

We have begun an investigation following a burglary at Hugh Rice jewellers in Saturday Market Place Beverley.  At 4am this morning the alarm was raised by a member of the public.

Our investigation is in its early stages and we would appeal for anyone that could help with our enquiries to call us on the non-emergency number 101 quoting log 56 of 6/11/17.

Hull and Howden: Bravery recognised

Three members of the public have been honoured by the police in recognition of their bravery at the annual National Police Chiefs’ Council Police Public Bravery Awards 2017.

Ebrima Touray and Taha Mohammed were both honoured for subduing and disarming a man who was brandishing a knife and a saw and threatening to kill another man at a mosque in Hull in September 2016.

Crowle: Five men arrested

Five men have been arrested on suspicion of the theft of a cash machine from a shop in Crowle, North Lincolnshire. 

The incident occurred at the McColls newsagents on High Street around 3.45am this morning Friday 3 November 2017. 

A JCB digger was believed to have been used to pull the ATM from out of the wall.
