That’s the message from Humberside Police to residents of Scunthorpe and the surrounding villages, following a number of sneak-in burglaries in the area that have resulted in cars being stolen.

Scunthorpe: Officers launch appeal for information

A woman was mugged by a man as she walked along Scunthorpe’s Ridge Walk in the early hours of Monday morning.
The victim, a 55-year-old local woman, had gone onto the path at Browning Close and was opposite the bridge when the robbery happened at around 12.20am on August 24.

Grimsby: Did you see anything?

Witnesses are being sought to an alleged collision between a teenager and a car in Grimsby’s Corporation Road.

The incident is said to have happened at around 10pm on Sunday, August 23 and involved a small silver car with a large, loud exhaust.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding how a man came to be in a Grimsby river and later died.

The incident happened yesterday afternoon (Monday August 24).

Officers were called at 2.15pm to the River Freshney near Ripon Street following a call reporting a body in the water.

Scunthorpe: Did you see anything suspicious?

Officers are hunting a man suspected of being behind an armed robbery at a convenience store on Scunthorpe’s Manor Road at around 10.30am on Sunday, August 23.
A man is said to have gone into the store and threatened the female shop assistant with a screwdriver, before taking cash from the till.
He is described as 40 to 45 years old and wore a cap and sunglasses.

Scunthorpe: Patrols follow reports of indecent exposure

Dog teams will be deployed to the Ridge Walk footpath in Scunthorpe following a recent series of reports of men indecently exposing themselves in the area.

It is thought two men are responsible for the incidents, which happened between July 30 and August 8.

Scunthorpe: Appeal for information following incident in Spencer Avenue

Two men were knocked unconscious after being assaulted by a gang in Spencer Avenue, Scunthorpe.

The incident happened at around 3.35am on Sunday, August 23.

Police were called to the area following reports of a group of men and women fighting in the street.

Grimsby: Man due in court

Police investigating a serious assault that happened in Freeman Street, Grimsby in the early hours of today (Saturday August 22) have charged a man in connection with the incident.

James Lee Drinkell (36) of Eleanor Street, Grimsby has been charged with Section 18 causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

Grimsby: Did you see what happened?

A man has been arrested in connection with a serious assault after a disturbance outside a bar in Grimsby.

The incident took place at shortly before 1am today (Saturday August 22) in the vicinity of Cottees Bar on Freeman Street.

The victim was identified as a 34-year-old local man. He has sustained a laceration to the head and attended hospital for assessment.

Anlaby: Moving footage of man suspected of being behind thefts

Do you know this man?

Officers in Brough are keen to speak to him in connection with a series of bike thefts from outside Haltemprice Leisure Centre, Springfield Way, Anlaby.

All the cycles had been left chained securely outside.

The first happened between 1pm and 3pm on Wednesday, August 12, when a maroon bike with a basket was taken.
