Hull and East Yorkshire: People urged not to fall foul of fraud

The public are being urged to make their elderly parents, grandparents and neighbours aware of a national scam where criminals are pretending to be bogus police officers in order to steal from some of the most vulnerable people in society.

Hull: custody update

Two of the four people arrested in connection with the murder of a 25-year-old Hull man in Egton Street in the city yesterday (Monday June 22) have been released on police bail.

The 57-year-old man and the 57-year-old woman who were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender have been released on police bail until late July.

Scunthorpe: Women bruised after attempt robbery on Ashby High Street

Between 12.20am and 12.30am on Sunday morning (June 21, 2015) it is alleged a man attempted to grab a woman’s handbag off her shoulder as she was getting into a taxi outside the Tesco Express on Ashby High Street in Scunthorpe.

Hull: Police at scene of a serious road traffic collision involving a car and pedestrian

The southbound carriageway of Beverley High Road is temporarily closed following a serious road traffic collision involving a car and pedestrian.

Just after 3pm today (June 22, 2015) a 64-year-old man was in collision with a red Citroen C4 at the pedestrian crossing on Beverley High Road near to the main intersection of Beverley Road and Sutton Road.

Bridlington: Cash, passports and bank cards stolen

On Friday June 19 between 4.30pm and 5pm an end terraced house down St John Street, Bridlington was broken into via a kitchen window.

Once inside the offender took a travel bag which contained the victim’s bank cards, cash, passport, driving licence and birth certificate.

DRIFFIELD: Witnesses Sought after car damaged on Wansford Road

Just before 11am on Tuesday June 16 it is believed a vehicle collided with a black Renault Clio car parked along Wansford Road, Driffield.

The Renault Clio sustained minor damage to the front bumper and scratches to the front passenger side wing.

Beverley: Did you see collision near Wednesday Market?

Witnesses are being sought to a two vehicle collision at the entrance to the Wednesday Market, Lord Roberts Road, in Beverley.

The collision between the Silver Ford Focus and White Ford Ka happened at 5.12pm on Tuesday June 9 and resulted in both drivers suffering minor injuries.

Scunthorpe: Did you see incident?

Two men have been arrested in connection with a suspected arson attack on a derelict house in Scunthorpe’s Brumby Common Lane.

Police were called to the scene at 8.36pm on June 18, following reports a fire had been set on the ground floor of the property.

A 29-year-old man and 16-year-old youth remain in custody and enquiries are ongoing.

Hornsea: Did you witness altercation?

Witnesses are being sought to an altercation in Hornsea which left a woman with cuts and bruising to her face and elbow.

The victim, a 23-year-old local woman, claims the incident happened as she left a Constable Road nightclub between 2.30am and 3am on Sunday, May 31.

Brigg: Appeal for witnesses to collision on Westbound carriageway

A 26-year-old Barton man has died following a single vehicle collision on the M180.

The victim has now been named as Adam Baxter.

The collision happened at 7.21pm last night, when a grey MG ZS left the westbound carriageway and collided with a tree, between junctions 5 and 4, at Brigg.

DRIFFIELD: Did you witness a collision on Front Street?

A silver 4x4 Volkswagon Passat estate car and a black 4x4 Mitsubishi Warrior car were involved in a collision at 10.50am on Saturday June 13, 2015 near the junction of Front Street and Driffield Road, Langtoft, Driffield.

Both vehicles sustained extensive damage, with the driver of the estate car was taken to hospital for treatment.
