Hull: investigation into assault of a man on Ferensway

On August 2 at 1.30am a 43-year-old man who had been for a night out in the city was waiting at the bus stop outside the Hull Truck Theatre when he was approached by another man who is alleged to have punched him in the head in an unprovoked attack.

East Yorkshire: Did you witness collision?

A man suffered injuries to his back, ribs and head after he was knocked off his feet following a collision with a car as he went to cross the road.

The incident happened at around 1pm outside the Co-op in Stamford Bridge, East Yorkshire, as the 74-year-old victim stepped out from behind cars parked on double yellow lines and a vehicle reversed.

Gilberdyke: Police release CCTV images and appeal for help in identification

POLICE are appealing to anyone who may be able to help with their enquiries into burglary which happened around 7am at a garden centre on Scalby Lane in Gilberdyke on August 8.

Two intruders forced entry to the garden centre and stole a large quantity of tools.

Humberside Police and Humberside Fire and Rescue Service offer farmers key crime prevention and fire safety advice to help reduce the risk of arson

Over 300 pigs, along with farming machinery, were destroyed when a recent fire swept through farm buildings on an East Yorkshire farm. The fire was caused when over 250 tons of straw bales were deliberately set alight.

Scunthorpe: Appeal for information

Thieves have stolen two guns from a vehicle parked at a Winterton farm.

The theft happened at just after midnight this morning (Wednesday, August 26) at a property in Holmes Lane.

The owner of the guns and a friend had been out shooting and returned to the farm, leaving the guns and other associated equipment on the back seat of his white Toyota Hilux.

Scunthorpe: Officers launch appeal for information

A woman was mugged by a man as she walked along Scunthorpe’s Ridge Walk in the early hours of Monday morning.
The victim, a 55-year-old local woman, had gone onto the path at Browning Close and was opposite the bridge when the robbery happened at around 12.20am on August 24.

Grimsby: Did you see anything?

Witnesses are being sought to an alleged collision between a teenager and a car in Grimsby’s Corporation Road.

The incident is said to have happened at around 10pm on Sunday, August 23 and involved a small silver car with a large, loud exhaust.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding how a man came to be in a Grimsby river and later died.

The incident happened yesterday afternoon (Monday August 24).

Officers were called at 2.15pm to the River Freshney near Ripon Street following a call reporting a body in the water.
