Hook, nr Goole: Have you seen missing man?

Police and other emergency services are currently involved in searches in the Hook area near Goole in East Yorkshire following a report to police this afternoon (Friday September 4) of a missing man.

There is reason to believe the man, 67-year-old Alan Woods from Howden who was reported missing by his wife at 4.14pm, may have intentions to harm himself.

Stained glass window damaged and collection box stolen

Humberside Police are investigating a burglary at Beverley Minster in which a stained glass window was damaged and a collection box was knocked off the wall and the contents stolen.

Following a security alarm being activated at 8:10pm, the police were quickly deployed to the scene.

Appeal for witnesses. Can you help the police find those responsible?

Humberside Police are investigating the burglary of a petrol station on Main Road in Gilberdyke.  Intruders broke into the petrol station just after 4am on August 27.

Cigarettes and tobacco valued at approximately £2000 was stolen along with a quantity of cash.  The intruders damaged a window and the cigarette kiosk during the incident.

Brough: £5000 worth of perfumes stolen from pharmacy

A pharmacy on the Brough Shopping Park on Welton Road in Brough has had £5000 worth of perfumes and aftershaves stolen.

Officers investigating the theft of tools from the back of a works truck release CCTV image to ask for help to identify those responsible.

A silver estate, possibly 4x4, vehicle was seen pull up close to where workmen were working in the grounds of Snaith School at 1110am on August 11.

Two occupants from the silver car got out and took two power tools, a strimmer and a Stihl leaf blower from the back of a works van parked whilst the groundsmen worked on the hedges of the school.

Beverley: Wilbert Lane, Skoda Yeti damaged.

A disabled man’s car was left damaged after another car drove into it and left the scene on Wilbert Lane, near New Walkergate in Beverley on Sunday August 30.

During the early afternoon on Sunday a grey Skoda Yeti was parked in the cul-de-sac end of Wilbert Lane, close to Butcher Row, when another vehicle, possibly a silver coloured 2003 Vauxhall Astra allegedly collided with it.

Be on guard for con artists' letters

That’s the warning from Humberside Police fraud officers following reports of the re-emergence of a lottery scam in the area.
The team has received reports of East Riding residents receiving letters in which it is claimed they have won thousands of pounds in the People’s Postcode Lottery.

Hull: investigation into assault of a man on Ferensway

On August 2 at 1.30am a 43-year-old man who had been for a night out in the city was waiting at the bus stop outside the Hull Truck Theatre when he was approached by another man who is alleged to have punched him in the head in an unprovoked attack.
