Beverley: Appeal for witnesses to collision on Swinemoor Lane

At 9.30am today, (Wednesday September 9), a cyclist was in collision with a white pick-up truck on Swinemoor Lane near to the Aldi Store in Beverley.

Both the cyclist and truck were travelling from the Grovehill Road junction towards the Hull Bridge Road junction.

Officers to run 13.1 miles in riot gear for CLIC Sargent

Two dedicated police constables will be completing a gruelling 13.1 mile run in full riot gear to raise money for children with cancer.

Pc Rob James and Pc Jim Saunders, who are both roads policing officers, are taking part in the Great North Run on Sunday, September 13.

Pocklington: Can you help identify the man featured on the attached CCTV?

Humberside Police are releasing moving CCTV of a man they would like to speak to following after a large number of car tyres were damaged in Pocklington last week.

Police have now received 140 reports of vehicles having had tyres intentionally punctured across the town. The offences all overnight Wednesday 2 to Thursday 3 September and again Thursday 3 to Friday 4 September.

Grimsby: Did you see assault in Victoria Street?

One man was knocked unconscious and another suffered a cut, swelling and bruising to his eye after they were assaulted in Grimsby town centre.

The incident is said to have happened near House of Fraser, Victoria Street, between 12.30am and 1am on Saturday, September 5.

Did you see anything suspicious?

Officers are hunting thieves who broke into a house in Thrunscoe Road, Cleethorpes, escaping with alcohol, a gent’s bike, power tools and a DAB radio.

The suspects are believed to have got into the property through a rear window at around 7.40pm on Wednesday, September 2.

Grimsby: Police are appealing for witnesses to attempted arson

Humberside Police are appealing for witnesses after an alleged attempted arson at a property on Park Avenue, Grimsby just before 11pm on Sunday September 6.

An unknown hooded man allegedly poured accelerant and tried to stuff a lit rag through the letter box. The occupant in the house noticed the rag and stopped it being pushed through. The offender then ran off towards Weelsby Road.

Alert was false alarm

Staff and passengers have been allowed to return to the terminal at Humberside Airport.

Investigations have ascertained that reports of a suspicious device found in a car parked at the airport have proved to be a false alarm.

Road closures remain in place at this time.

Pocklington: Do you know who is responsible?

Extra police have been patrolling Pocklington over the weekend in a bid to identify the person responsible for causing damage to almost 100 cars in the town over the space of a matter of days.

Police have now received 99 reports of cars having had tyres intentionally punctured in the town since the middle of last week.
