People living on a Grimsby housing estate are being urged to stand up and be counted by taking part in a week long initiative being launched on next week in the town.

Goole: Suspected stolen gardening equipment found in abandoned car

Officers are keen to reunited the rightful owners with suspected stolen property that has been recovered from a car abandoned in Goole.
Gardening equipment, including a yellow strimmer, red petrol mower and red petrol can, were found in the back of a red Ford Mondeo, which was found in Mayfield at around 10.50am on Saturday, September 12.

United Nations 'Peace One Day' Monday 21 September 2015

Humberside Police are one of a number of UK forces who were invited to highlight domestic abuse as part of a global movement called Peace One Day.

The international day of action, declared by the United Nations as a global event, will take place on Monday, 21 September 2015 and is an opportunity for forces to help raise awareness of domestic abuse.

Grimsby: Appeal for witnesses to collision

A 48-year-old Immingham cyclist has suffered potentially life-threatening injuries following a collision with a car on Cromwell Road, Grimsby.
The collision between the black Viking push bike and grey Fiat Punto happened near the junction with Queensway at around 5pm on Tuesday, September 15.

Search called off for Hull absconder

The search for a 24-year-old Hull man has been called off following his arrest in Hull earlier today (Tuesday 15 September).

Josh Pougher was wanted by police after absconding from Hull Crown Court on Thursday 10 September.

He remains in police custody at this time.

Scunthorpe: Suspect appears before court

A Scunthorpe man has been charged with theft from a shop and assault following an incident in the town's High Street on Friday, September 11.

Jarmine Parker, 19, of Thompson Street, Scunthorpe, was due to appear before Grimsby Magistrates Court on Saturday, September 12.

Grimsby: Suspect appears before court

A Grimsby man has been charged with two counts of assault causing actual bodily harm to police officers, criminal damage and assault by beating following an incident on Macaulay Street.

Douglass Reed, 34, of Macaulay Street, was due to appear before Grimsby Magistrates Court on Saturday, September 12, in relation to the incident, which happened on Thursday, September 10.

Winteringham: Can you help trace suspects?

A gang stole a pizza delivery man’s car and cash after calling him to Composition Lane, Winteringham.

The incident happened between 1.05am and 1.50am on Sunday September 13.

The delivery driver was asked to call the customer on his arrival and got out of the car as he saw someone with a torch coming towards him.

Eastlound, Haxey Llama on the loose

Humberside Police were called just after 1pm today to report a llama on the loose in the Eastlound area of Haxey in North Lincolnshire. 

Concern was raised for the safety of members of the public as it was running along a main road.

The llama was located in the area but as anyone came close to it, it ran off.

The llama is described as a ‘large brown and cream’ llama.
