Grimsby: Working together to make a difference

Four people have been arrested today as part of the ongoing Operation Impact on the East Marsh estate in Grimsby.

Two men were detained at an address on Cleethorpe Road where officers executed a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act. Elsewhere a woman was arrested on suspicion of assault and later a man was arrested for breach of bail.

Scunthorpe: CCTV stills of Frodingham Road incident

Officers have released CCTV stills of a man they wish to speak to urgently in connection with an incident whereby two men sustained stab wounds in the Frodingham Road area of Scunthorpe earlier today (Tuesday September 22).

Police were called to the scene at around 1pm following an altercation in the area between Porter street and Percival street.

Scunthorpe: Police are responding to a serious incident

Police are currently responding to a serious incident in the Frodingham Road area of Scunthorpe following a call at 1.01pm (22/09/15). 

Two men have reportedly sustained serious injuries and have been taken to hospital.

Armed officers have been deployed to the area to search for the suspect.

Road closures are in place in the area.

Scunthorpe: CCTV stills released of suspected robber

Do you know this man?
Officers are keen to speak to him in connection with an armed robbery at a convenience store on Scunthorpe’s Manor Road at around 10.30am on Sunday, August 23.
A man is said to have gone into the store and threatened the female shop assistant with a screwdriver, before taking cash from the till.

Grimsby: Week of action

A burglar and a suspected drug dealer were arrested today by police working on Operation Impact in Grimsby.

The man arrested in connection with drugs offences, a 26-year-old, was interviewed and is now on police bail while further enquiries are carried out.

The suspected burglar, a 50-year-old man, remains in police custody at this time.

Man charged with a large number of offences

A 45-year-old man is due at Hull Magistrates court this morning after 190 car tyres were slashed and damaged earlier this month in Pocklington.

Julian Glew (45) of no fixed address was arrested on Saturday September 19 in the Pocklington Woods near Chapel Hill Road, Pocklington.

How to prosecute without replying on a victim

Police in England and Wales have been issued with new guidance on domestic abuse which advises officers on how to prosecute without relying on a victim.

The guidance goes into detail about spotting patterns of abuse as statistics show a woman is, on average, assaulted 35 times before her first call to police.

Scunthorpe: Fire at address on Burke Street

A 37-year-old Scunthorpe man has been arrested on suspicion of arson following an incident at a property in Burke Street.

Police were called by the fire service at 11.43am on Sunday, September 20.

He remains in police custody at this time.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting log number 267 of September 20.

Grimsby: Local community urged to join in

An event to help identify the issues affecting a Grimsby housing estate is being held today and members of the community are urged to come along.

The session being held between 9am and midday at Central Hall in Duncombe Street in the town will be attended by representatives from Humberside Police, North East Lincolnshire Council. Humberside Fire and Rescue Service and others.

Warnings have been issued after a fraudster tried to con an 89-year-old Scunthorpe woman into handing over £6,000.

The victim was called by a man on Wednesday, September 16, who told her customers were experiencing issues with withdrawing cash.

Wootton: Did you see anything suspicious?

An antique brass jug is thought to have been stolen from a Wootton church.

The jug was last used at a Christening in St Andrew's Church on August 23 but it was not missed until 10am on Wednesday, September 9.
