A man who died on the beach at Selwicks Bay near Flamborough has been identified and named as Alan Timms.  59 year-old Alan had lived in Bridlington since 2010.

We currently do not believe the circumstances of his death are suspicious.

Hull: Robbery at Lloyds Bank

Our detectives are continuing to investigate a robbery at a branch of Lloyds bank on Newland Avenue in Hull on Wednesday 1 Nov.

Two masked men, one holding a knife entered the branch and demanded money from the cashier.  An amount of cash was taken and the man left the premises.  Nobody was injured during the incident.

Humberside Police has today welcomed the latest HMIC inspection report into Police Efficiency & Leadership in 2017.  The report, which was released today acknowledges the improvements made in some key areas.

Scunthorpe: Drugs warrants served on Frodingham Road

Two men have been arrested today 8 November 2017 as warrants were executed under the Misuse of Drugs Act at two properties in Scunthorpe.

The warrants were part of Operation Sierra, a multi-partnership operation aimed at reducing violence, violence related crime, robberies and burglaries in the Frodingham Road area.

Pocklington: Pedestrian died in collision

About 11.15 am today (Wednesday) on The Balk at Pocklington near to Sainsburys there was a collision between a white Mercedes Sprinter van and a pedestrian.

Unfortunately the pedestrian, an 86 year-old man, man suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.

We are appealing for witnesses to contact us on 101 reference log 159 08/11/17.

Bridlington: Appeal to ID men we want to speak to in connection with an attempted robbery

Just after midnight on 22 October two women were walking home.  At the junction of Victoria Road and Quay Road they were approached from behind by two men, one of which who attempted to take one of the women’s handbags.  She struggled to keep hold of her bag and was forced to the ground then pulled along the ground by the man as he tried to take her bag.  The woman suffered minor injuries to he

Grimsby: Men threatened with weapon

Two men were walking along Park Street, at 3.15pm on 5 November, away from 5-ways roundabout when they were threatened by two youths armed with what was reported to have been a red painted gun.  The men were not harmed and nothing was stolen in the incident.

Hull: Man robbed of his IPhone and wallet.

We are appealing for witnesses and information following the robbery of a man as he walked along Clough Road at 1.30am on 5 November.

The man was approached from behind by three men who struck him and stole his IPhone 6 and wallet containing a student card and cash. The victim suffered bruising to his face and body as a result of the assault.

Pocklington: The Balk currently closed while officers deal with RTC

We are currently in attendance on The Balk in Pocklington.  A pedestrian has been struck by a van.

The condition of the casualty is not known at this stage.  The road will remain closed while emergency services carry out their duties.

Hull: A Trek Domane SLR has been recovered by police during their investigations.

We want to trace the owner of a Trek Domane SLR which has been recovered by officers.  We have made the appropriate serial number checks but still have not managed to find the owner.
