Police Unity Tour now in sixth year - photos available

*Please find attatched photographs from this morning as the team set off from Priory HQ, Hull.*

Our officers and staff will be swapping their uniforms for lycra on Friday, July 27, as they cycle 180 miles to the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire to raise money for COPS as part of the Police Unity Tour.

Cottingham: Efit now available

We have a description of a man we want to find in connection with an alleged attempted burglary in Cottingham.

It happened at a property on Saners Close around 4pm on 23 July 2018.

The man conned his way into the victim’s property, used the bathroom and looked around before leaving.

Scunthorpe: Death not being treated as suspicious

Following the discovery of the body of 23 year-old Maciej Dymowski in the lake at Ashby Ville, Scunthorpe.

We do not believe the circumstances of his death are suspicious and we have prepared a file for Her Majesty’s Coroner for their investigations.

A man has been injured after an alleged assault in Hull in the early hours of 15 July 2018.

It happened on Boothferry Road on the stretch between the Three Tuns and the Fiveways pubs just after midnight.

Scunthorpe: Man whose body was found in a lake is named

We can confirm that the body of a man found in the water at Ashby Ville in Scunthorpe on Monday 23 July was that of  23 year-old Maciej Dymowski from Scunthorpe.

We’re issuing a warning following a number of reports we’ve had recently about individuals cold calling potential victims who pretend to be from an official government department. 

The fraudsters, who claim to be from the police or National Crime Agency, try to persuade the victim that they may be at risk of losing money they have in the bank.

Hull and East Riding: Travel disruption as load travels through our area

An abnormal load will leave Queen Elizabeth Docks in Hull en-route to Tadcaster today.  The convoy will leave at 9.30am and will travel along the A1033, A63 before it leaves the East Riding for onward travel to Tadcaster.

Bilton: Two 16 year-old boys arrested

We are investigating a large hay stack fire on Main Road in Bilton that was reported to us at 8.40pm last night.  We believe the fire was started deliberately and it is being treated as arson.  We have arrested two 16 year-old boys in connection with the incident.

Anyone with information about this fire should call us on 101 quoting log 634 of 24/07/18.

Bridlington: Re-appeal for help to ID man in connection with assault

On Garrison Street in Bridlington on Monday 7 May a man suffered an assault.  We issued an appeal for information at the time and from that we have identified two people.  We want your help again as a further CCTV image is now available.

Hull: Bag stolen containing valuables

A woman has allegedly been threatened and robbed while out cycling in Hull.

It happened on the long cycle track running between Chamberlain Road and Tween Dykes Road around 10.30am on 20 July 18.

A man who was also riding a bicycle approached the victim, threatened her then stole a black rucksack containing a mobile phone, money, keys, a raincoat and a yellow t-shirt.
