Chief Inspector Paul Butler, Humberside Police’s Operation Yellowfin lead said: “Yellowfin’s recent week of activity came to a conclusion on Sunday with an estimated 650 bikers turning up for a ‘ride out’ around Hull to highlight the work we’ve been doing to tackle motorbike theft and related crimes.
We are appealing for information after the alleged assault of a 20-year-old man on Laxthorpe in Hull on Sunday 15 April shortly before 7.30pm.
A group of around 20 men followed the victim to a house on Laxthorpe making threats and shouting at him. The victim reported that he was struck by a nailed plank of wood and kicked repeatedly in the attack.
Warning to residents and those caring for the elderly – help us spread the word and prevent victims of scams.
We have recently had yet another case of telephone calls being made by people impersonating HMRC Tax officers. They told an elderly couple that they owe tax and have to pay in the form of ‘ITUNES’ or ‘STEAM’ Vouchers. They threatened the couple, saying that if they don’t pay they will be arrested and taken to court.
