Hull: Man detained to appear at court following shed burglary

32-year-old Andrew Bower whose address is unknown was arrested and charged with burglary and possession of amphetamines yesterday (Thursday July 16). He has been remanded to appear at Hull Magistrates Court today (Friday July 17).

The burglary relates to an incident were property was stolen from a summer house on Hayton Grove, Hull.

Scunthorpe: Court appearance scheduled

A Scunthorpe man has been charged with theft, driving without due care and attention and failing to stop following an incident in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Charles Chatterton, 50, of Southfield Road, Scunthorpe, will appear before North Lincolnshire Magistrates Court on Thursday, August 6.

Scunthorpe: Three women who came to victim's aid urged to come forward

Three women who came to the aid of a 15-year-old girl who was allegedly assaulted on three occasions by a trio of girls in Scunthorpe have been urged to come forward.

The first attack is said to have happened at around 2pm on Saturday, July 11, when the victim was in Sheffield Park with friends.

Hull: Anyone with information about the offender should call 101

Police are urging the public to be vigilant following a rogue trader incident in Bridlington on Saturday July 4.

An unknown man offered a paving service during after cold calling at an elderly woman’s house on Wentworth Road, Bridlington between 2.30pm and 3pm.

The woman agrees and asks for the money in front, and eventually agrees to pays him £60 of the agreed £180.

Cleethorpes: Independent witnesses sought

Independent witnesses are being sought to a collision between a car and a lollipop lady outside a Cleethorpes School.
The incident happened near Signhills School in Hardy’s Road at 3.25pm on Monday, July 13 and involved a silver Nissan Qashqai Visia.
Witnesses are asked to call 101, quoting log number 372 of July 13.

The public are being urged to make their elderly parents, grandparents and neighbours aware of a national scam were criminals are pretending to be bogus officials over the phone in order to steal from the elderly.

Grimsby: Police urge people to get a quote before work is agreed

Police are warning businesses to be cautious of rogue traders following an incident at an industrial estate in Grimsby which was reported to the police on Monday July 13. 

A business agreed to have some tarmac laid at their site for £50. However, on completion the business discovered that the contractors had done a poor job and laid tarmac on a bigger area than requested.

Quick-thinking bank staff and customers are believed to have prevented a vulnerable Scunthorpe man from falling victim to suspected rogue traders.

Two men in a white van with ladders on the roof are said to have visited the victim’s home in Church Lane, between 2pm and 3pm on Monday, July 13.

A Spider Crane and associated lifting chains have been stolen from Tata steel in Scunthorpe.

The theft happened between 2pm on Saturday, July 11 and 7am on Monday, July 13, at the firm’s Coal Handling Plant, Dawes Lane.

Driffield: Offenders due at court after spate of shop burglaries

Over three days in June, four commercial premises in the Driffield area were broken into. Following a police investigation two local men were arrested and charged with the offences, and are due to appear at Beverley Magistrates later this month.
