Rawcliffe and East Cowick: Witness appeal

A motorcyclist has sadly died following a road traffic collision on the A614 between East Cowick and Rawcliffe.

Another vehicle – a VW Touran – was involved in the collision with the bike. The driver and passenger sustained minor injuries.

Grimsby: Victim named by family

A 36-year-old man arrested yesterday in connection with a serious assault in Grimsby has been charged with assault occasioning Grievous Bodily Harm.

Mark Bennison of no fixed abode has been remanded in custody and will appear at Magistrates Court in Grimsby on 27 August 2018.

A 46-year-old man is in hospital with life threatening head injuries following an alleged assault in Grimsby.

It happened in the early hours of today 25 August 2018 in the Old Market Place. A 36-year-old man has been arrested and is in custody.

North Dalton: Did you see anything?

Emergency crews were called to a road traffic collision in East Yorkshire yesterday 24 August involving a motorcycle and a heavy goods vehicle.

It happened on an unmarked road between North Dalton and Huggate just before midday.

The rider of the motorcycle was treated for serious injuries but sadly later died.

Scunthorpe: Numerous reports of antisocial behaviour

A 33-year-old man has been given a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) which will last for two years following investigations into a number of reports of begging, antisocial behaviour and public order offences in Scunthorpe.

Grimsby: 67-year-old man taken to hospital

We are trying to ascertain how a man in a wheelchair came to be injured in the road in Grimsby.

Officers were called to the junction of Holme Street and Robinson Street just after midnight on 22 August to find the 67-year-old with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

He was taken to hospital by ambulance. We believe the man might have been assaulted.

The arrested man and three teenagers have since been released under investigation.

Bridlington: Update following fire in Wellington Road

Detectives are investigating the circumstances of a fire in flats in Wellington Road, Bridlington, yesterday evening, where a man was sadly found dead.

We were called to the area by Humberside Fire and Rescue Service at shortly after 7.35pm yesterday (Wednesday, August 23).

Grimsby: Tribute paid by his family

Today the family of 48-year-old Peter Craven who died at a house on Oxford Street, Grimsby on 15 August 2018 has paid tribute to him and his life. 

We are investigating his death as murder. 

In a joint family statement, Peter’s relatives said: “Peter was a funny, independent and popular man who enjoyed his jokes and pranks.
