Thank you to all for your help over New Year's Eve

2018 has got off to a busy start, with the vast majority of you enjoying a safe and happy New Year’s Eve.

However, there were a small minority of people – most of which had been drinking – who got involved in violent or disorderly incidents where we had to step in.

The festivities started steadily, with 289 calls made to us between 6pm and midnight.

Nancie is a farmer’s daughter and swore that she would always work with a pen, after spending too much time with a shovel at the wrong end of a cow!
