Scunthorpe: Another arrest made

A 47-year-old man has been arrested this evening in connection with the murder of 51-year-old Raymond Adam Ward whose body was found in a building on Cliff Gardens in Scunthorpe.

Investigating officers have been given more time to question two other men, aged 37 and 24, who were arrested earlier in connection with Mr Ward’s death.

New officers fresh out of training head out to make your communities safer and stronger

The latest group of 60 new police officers leave training school and took part in a passing-out parade at the force's training ground in Courtland Road in Hull today.

These new officers will be patrolling the streets of Hull, North and North East Lincolnshire and the East Riding of Yorkshire.

Scunthorpe: 51 year-old man found dead in disused building

Following the discovery of the body of a man in a disused building in Scunthorpe yesterday, we have launched a murder enquiry.

The man, now formally identified as 51 year-old Raymond Adam Ward, was found in the building on Cliff Gardens in Scunthorpe.  Raymond was of no fixed abode, his family have been informed.

Scunthorpe: Witness appeal

A man was arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon following reports he was acting in a threatening manner as he walked around Scunthorpe.

We’re asking for witnesses to come forward who may have seen the man on 9 July 18 as he walked along Digby Street, Spencer Avenue, Theodore Road, and then Henderson Avenue around 4.30pm.

Cleethorpes: Man with distinctive tattoos sought

We are looking for a man who was reported to have verbally abused and physically threatened a woman in Cleethorpes. 

It happened on Brereton Avenue around 6.15pm on 2 July 2018. The woman was walking along the road when a man, holding what was thought to be a broken bottle, allegedly verbally abused and threatened her then chased her along the road.

Hornsea: We’re looking for a small van

As part of our investigations into a burglary at a shop in Hornsea yesterday we’re now looking for a small van that we think could have been involved.

The incident occurred around 4.50am on 9 July at the store on Newbegin.

Scunthorpe: Appeal for information following discovery of man’s body

We have launched an investigation following the discovery of the body of a man in a disused building on Cliff Gardens in Scunthorpe.  At this stage of our investigations he has not been formally identified and the cause of his death has not been established.

A cordon is in place at the address and officers remain in attendance as enquiries continue into the man’s death.

Hull: Did you see anything that could help with our enquiries?

We are appealing for witnesses to an incident on Shannon Road in Hull on Friday 6 July at around 9pm.

We were called to reports of a disturbance at an address where a man suffered a knife wound to his arm.  A woman was arrested in connection with the incident and has since been bailed pending further enquires.

Hull: Taxi and moped involved

Can you help us trace the driver of a taxi who allegedly failed to stop following a road traffic collision in Hull?

The incident which involved a white Daelim Dart scooter happened at the junction of Alfred Gelder Street and Quay Street on 7 July 2018 around 11am.

A taxi, which has been described as a Toyota mini cab, drove off without stopping.
