Immingham: Help us find Charlie Walker

We are concerned for the welfare of 15-year-old Charlie Walker from Immingham and want to find him.

Charlie was reported missing on 31 July 18. He has been seen in Grimsby and Immingham since then and we think he might be staying with friends or acquaintances in the area.

We want him to get in contact with us.

Bridlington; Alleged burglary at local charity shop

We have been investigating a recent commercial burglary at premises on the Promenade in Bridlington.  We have now made an arrest which has resulted in a local man being promptly charged.

Martin Rodney Brigham (51) of Marshall Avenue, Bridlington is charged with burglary at Age UK on the Promenade Bridlington between 12 and 13 August.

Humberston: Burglary at bike shop

Seven bicycles worth a total of more than £20,000 have been stolen from a bicycle shop in Humberston. 

The burglary happened at a business on Jackson Place in the early hours of 10 August 2018. 

The makes of the bikes are Orange, Whyte, Trek, Bergamont, and Kross. Four are electric cycles and three are full suspension mountain bikes.

A week on from our most recent media appeal to find 28-year-old Abdi Ali in connection with the murder of Shaun Lyall in Cleethorpes, we can now release more information about Abdi Ali’s background.

Hull: 17-year-old in custody

We’ve arrested a 17-year-old boy in connection with a number of offences in Hull.

The teenager has been arrested on suspicion of robbery, aggravated burglary, theft from a vehicle, possession of an offensive weapon, threatening behaviour, and assault.

He is still in custody.

Hull: Appeal for witnesses as launch our investigations

In the early hours of this morning we had two reports of a vehicle being driven into businesses in an attempt to break in.

A bookmakers on Westleigh Close in Bransholme and a convenience store on Cheltenham Avenue on Sutton Park were targeted.  No one was hurt in either incident but both premises suffered damage, at this stage it is not known what, if anything, has been taken.

Grimsby: He’s appeared in court today

Daniel McKiernan, 22, of no fixed abode has been charged and has today appeared in court for the attempted abduction of a child in Grimsby.

It relates to an incident that occurred in Freshney Place in Grimsby on 10 August.

He appeared at Grimsby Magistrates Court today has been remanded in custody.

He's due to appear at Crown Court in Grimsby on 10 December 2018.

Immingham: Man arrested

Officers have recovered a mini dumper truck and a stolen van following an incident on Pelham Road in Immingham.

We were called around 10.30pm last night 12 August to reports that the dumper truck had been stolen. Community patrol officers responded and investigated and the van was located near Brigg.

East Yorkshire: Bank cards stolen from elderly residents

A bogus Post Office worker is targeting vulnerable and elderly people in East Yorkshire to con them into handing over their bank cards.

Today we’re appealing for anyone with information about the incidents to get in touch – and for those with elderly or vulnerable neighbours, friends and relatives to pass on our warning to stop others falling victim to the scam.
