Last night we hosted the 2017 Lifestyle Awards to celebrate the hard work and achievements of the thousands of young people that spent their summer completing projects to make a difference in their communities.
During the ceremony, presented by BBC Look North weatherman Owain Wyn Evans, 54 teams of young people were invited on to the stage to accept their certificates and prizes.
The two overall winning teams were also announced. Senior winners The Tribesmen were awarded with a trip to South Africa for their work to raise awareness of organ donation. The junior winners Quirky Embracers won a holiday in Paris for their transformation of a CAHMS waiting room.
There were various guests invited to the ceremony including a special appearance from X Factor star Calum Scott who wished to congratulate the Lifestylers.
Well done to the winning teams and to everyone involved in this year’s Lifestyle project.
